Master Home Noodle House — Review by Strictly Dumpling

Flushing, United States — Chinese

Master Home Noodle House in the 99 Ranch Market food court in Flushing offers exceptional hand-pulled noodles and dumplings at excellent prices under $15. The reviewer praised the beef noodle soup with perfect hand-pulled noodles, snail noodles with bold flavors and deep umami, and massive juicy dumplings as some of the best he's had in New York City.

What was great: Hand-pulled beef noodles with perfect texture, exceptionally juicy and well-filled dumplings, snail noodles with bold spicy and sour broth and deep umami flavor, fresh and chewy noodle texture, generous portions

What could improve: Snail noodles have a strong funk smell, beef could be slightly more tender in some dishes

The Dishes

Master Home Noodle House delivers several standout dishes that showcase authentic Flushing noodle craftsmanship. The hand-pulled beef noodle soup arrived with thick, wavy egg noodles that had superior chew compared to typical thin ramen-style noodles. The beef broth was rich and beefy, simmered with fat and marrow, paired with tender beef slices and tendon running through each piece. The hand-pulled noodles maintained their perfect texture even as they absorbed the broth.

The snail noodles were equally impressive, featuring bold and complex flavors with intense spiciness and sourness balanced by ultra-deep umami delivered by actual snails simmered into the broth. The bowl came loaded with tender pork belly chunks, marinated eggs, mushrooms, peanuts, bok choy, and rice noodles. While the strong funky aroma might deter some, the taste delivers immediate satisfaction.

The freshly made dumplings were described as magical, arriving plump and large with thin, see-through skin. Filled with shrimp, pork, and chives, these dumplings had the perfect ratio of ingredients with giant shrimp visible inside. Each bite was juicy and flavorful, representing some of the best dumplings available in Flushing.

The Experience

Master Home Noodle House operates within the modern, clean 99 Ranch Market food court, a stark contrast to typical older Flushing food courts. The space is bright and well-maintained, though it functions as a quick-service counter ordering system. The restaurant focuses on efficiency, serving quality noodles and dumplings quickly during peak breakfast and lunch hours. The location attracts primarily Chinese customers, lending authenticity to the dining experience.

Value and Pricing

At approximately $11 for snail noodles and similar pricing for other dishes, Master Home Noodle House offers outstanding value. The beef noodle soup and hand-pulled noodles cost around $10-12, making this one of the best noodle deals in the area. The combination of generous portions, high-quality ingredients, fresh handmade preparations, and incredibly reasonable prices makes this restaurant exceptional for the value.
