The Dishes

The Victory Lap Burger Challenge featured four burgers that Randy worked through systematically. The Sickies Burger kicked things off with two onion rings, pulled pork, a fried egg, bacon, hot sauce, and barbecue sauce on a perfectly medium-rare patty. Randy noted the delicious mixture of barbecue and hot sauce flavors that worked beautifully together. The Twin Cam came next with two grilled cheese sandwiches as buns along with nacho cheese sauce and bacon, featuring substantial 6 oz patties. Randy mentioned this burger was what typically gets challengers, as the grilled cheese buns essentially meant eating half a loaf of bread.

The Hangover burger delivered unexpected decadence with two glazed donuts as buns, two fried eggs, two pieces of bacon, and a large beef patty. Randy noted the donuts appeared to be glazed in-house, creating an interesting sweet and savory combination. The final burger, the Chowzilla, was the double cheeseburger loaded with Pepper Jack cheese, four pieces of pepper bacon, spicy Oh Yeah sauce, fried jalapenos, and fried pickles. Randy particularly praised the fried pickles and jalapenos, commenting on how delicious they looked. The challenge also included 2.5 lbs of Sickies fries served on the bottom and surrounding the burgers. While Randy found the first pound of fries delicious, by the end he was definitely ready to be done with fries for the day. He finished with a cookie sandwich dessert that was so dense it actually bent the spoon he tried to use.

The car-themed garage atmosphere added to the experience, which Randy acknowledged through casual references to car culture.

Value and Pricing

The Victory Lap Burger Challenge was priced at $50 for the meal, which Randy emphasized represented exceptional value considering the sheer volume of food provided. The cost includes four massive burgers, 2.5 lbs of fries, and a dessert option. Randy noted that even without attempting the challenge, the $50 price point for these burgers and fries was a pretty good deal on its own.

Randy completed the challenge in just under 33 minutes, more than double his 2016 winning time of approximately 15 minutes from their Fargo location, but comfortably under the one-hour time limit. He made a humorous John Wick reference regarding the Chowzilla burger, joking that if John Wick attempted this challenge, no one would go near him due to the burger's intensity. Randy also shared that he watched Ford versus Ferrari to prepare mentally for the car-themed restaurant, humorously noting he didn't actually care much about cars.
